1. Battersea Tenancy

All vehicle rentals with Battersea are governed by a detailed Rental Agreement issued with your booking confirmation or provided at vehicle collection. The agreement sets out specific terms, conditions, insurance cover, charges and your responsibilities for the relevant rental. If there is any conflict between these Terms and the Rental Agreement, the Rental Agreement will take precedence.

2. Eligibility Criteria

To hire a vehicle from Battersea, you must:

  • Be at least 21 years old to rent a vehicle from Battersea (age restrictions may vary by vehicle type, with additional charges possible for drivers under 25). Hold a valid, full driving licence appropriate for the vehicle category, held for the minimum period specified in the Battersea Rental Agreement. Provide valid identification and proof of address as set out in the Battersea Rental Agreement and supply a payment method in the lead driver's name.

3. Reservations and Payments

  • Bookings can be made through our website, by phone, or in person at our Battersea location. A booking deposit may be required to secure your reservation. 4. Battersea Vehicle Collection and Return

  • On collection, inspect the vehicle carefully and report any pre-existing damage to Battersea without delay. A vehicle condition report will be completed and signed by both parties. Return the vehicle in the same condition as when collected, allowing for normal wear and tear. Any new damage will be assessed and charged to you according to Battersea’s damage policy.

5. Coverage and Liability

  • Basic third-party insurance is included with all Battersea rentals. Full coverage details and excess amounts are set out in the Rental Agreement. Additional insurance options may be available to lower your financial liability. We recommend reviewing these options carefully before you collect the vehicle. You are responsible for damage or loss up to the excess amount stated in the Agreement.

6. Cancellation and Changes at Battersea

7. Battersea Prohibitions

You must not use a vehicle rented from Battersea for:

  • Use for any illegal acts or criminal purposes. Engaging in racing, rallying, off-road driving, or other hazardous activities. Transporting hazardous or regulated materials. Subletting to third parties or permitting drivers not authorised by Battersea. Operating the vehicle under the influence of alcohol or drugs. Use beyond the vehicle’s intended purpose or manufacturer specifications...

Violating these restrictions may result in Battersea rental termination and further charges.

8. Limits of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by English and Welsh law, Battersea will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, or loss of profits, data, or business, arising from your use of Battersea's services. Battersea's total liability for any claim will not exceed the total fees paid by you for the relevant service in the 12 months preceding the claim.

9. Applicable Law

These Terms of Battersea are governed by English and Welsh law. Any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.

10. Changes to Battersea Terms

Battersea may amend these Terms at any time. Any changes take effect immediately upon posting on the Battersea website. Your continued use of Battersea services constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
